Can I export my Outlook address book and import it on to a new computer in to any e-mail program?

I am changing Gateway desktop computers (from a 5 year old one, Windows XP Operating System, to a new one, Windows Vista OS), and I am in the middle to get the new one working. Can I export my address book from Outlook and import it on to a new computer e.g., in to Windows Mail or another e-mail program? Thank you!

1. Yes, just export it and load the file to a flash drive.....import into the new outlook
